👨🏻‍🏫 I studied Physics at RIT and I formerly worked as a middle school teacher in The USA and have been teaching online for 6 years. I worked for some companies like OpenEnglish and DaDaABC but I prefer AmazingTalker because it allows greater autonomy. As a general rule students should speak 2/3 of the time, and the teacher for 1/3 of the time. Philosophically, I believe that speech corresponds to thoughts, and thoughts correspond with reality. Therefore, precise speech requires thinking about reality precisely. Also, when a particular objective (test/interview/project) is far away, more generic methods should be used so that students are comfortable exploring and trying new things. Then, as the objective nears, one should use materials specifically for that particular objective. 📚 Beginners - read and discuss: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/ 📰 Intermediate- read and discuss: https://newsforkids.net/ 🧸 Intermediate/Advanced- listen and discuss: Ted.com ⚖️ Advanced- debate: procon.org 💬TOEFL- test simulations: https://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/take- ielts/prepare/free-ielts-practice-tests 💬IELTS- test simulations: https://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/takeielts/prepare/free- ielts-practice-tests/speaking 🧑🏻‍💼Interview simulation: https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/interviewing/top-interview-questions-and-answers ♞ Chess: Chess.com 📶 GMAT: https://www.mbacrystalball.com/gmat/ Numerous of my former students improved dramatically on IELTS/TOEFL/job interviews and are currently working/studying in USA, Canada, Britain, New Zealand, and Australia. Trial Classes are for introductions, so that we can get to know each other a little, and also for a diagnostic, so I can assess you ability, and then I will recommend a study plan. Rules: 1) Don't be nervous. This is the safe place to experiment and try new things. 2) Go beyond rote memorization and strive to understand the rationale behind correct answers.
