As I'm learning multiple languages now, I believe I know the best way to learn a foreign language. Therefore, I will be glad to share my experience with you and help you improve your Bahasa Indonesia skills, both written and conversational (and even slangs!) :)
I've been teaching Indonesian online for 3 years. For beginners, we'll start from the alphabets and pronunciation, basic greetings, self-introduction, as well as some basic grammar. The textbook we'll be using is called "Sahabatku Indonesia" (consists of 7 books that vary from A1~C2 levels), but I'll also be providing some additional PowerPoint files that I've prepared myself. We will have a lot of speaking practice as well, and there is almost no grammar in spoken Indonesia, so donโt worry if you don't really like grammar :)
For advanced learners, we'll use news articles instead of textbooks.
If you want to learn Business Indonesian, instead of "Sahabatku Indonesia", we'll use a book called "Kursus Singkat Bahasa Inggris Bisnis" that is originally used by Indonesian to learn Business English. We're using this book because it's written in both English and Indonesian. We'll learn the words that are commonly used in meetings, how to present in Indonesian, and how to negotiate with your clients. Don't worry if you're still a beginner, we'll learn all the grammar points that you need to know as well.
(But, if you have your own study materials or anything specific you want to learn, don't hesitate to tell me!)
If you are an intermediate and advanced learner that would like to further their reading or writing skills, we can study not only with "Sahabatku Indonesia", but also with news articles or articles that you're interested in.
If you just want to practice speaking, we can have a free talk session. You can choose your own topic, but if you don't have any topic in mind, don't worry, we will definitely have something to talk about :)
I've been teaching Indonesian to foreign learners for three years. My students come from all over the world, including Taiwan, Japan, the US, Singapore, etc. I also have certification for attending BIPA TIFL (Teaching Indonesian as a Foreign Language) training course from APBIPA Bali.
