The teacher was kind and prepared, but the lesson was difficult to follow because she speaks very fast and doesn’t use English. This approach may work very well for students at a higher level.

I found the lessons to be very useful. I could feel my listening and speaking skills improving thanks to the classes. I also have more confidence and comfort when using mandarin in my daily life. The lesson content is also great, we usually discuss our lives at the beginning to have some unstructured practice, then go over some specific topic and learn grammar/new words and how to use them. Sometimes the teacher also prepares listening and writing practice exercises which is very helpful as well. Thank you for all the help!

It’s really great that I can practice speaking through sharing stories, and while I do , Yixuan calls out and writes down key vocabulary to help me review and make it stronger in my long-term memory.

I really liked how practical it was—especially the tips on sounding natural (not forced) and the useful vocabulary like bù hǎo yì si, má fan, and chéng kěn. The warm-up discussion also helped me feel more confident about explaining unexpected changes politely and clearly. Thanks again!

KK 老師 is extremely patient, encouraging and provides the right materials for you to learn at your level. She has a flexible learning style; where she observes and sees which areas a student needs the most help on. I’ve been having a great time learning from her and my mandarin has improved because there are many opportunities to speak. The classes pass by quickly because the discussions and teaching materials are relevant and interesting.

I love class it’s always so interesting, while learning new words in Chinese also have the chance to learn so many interesting this about China which makes me want to do more research about at the things I have learnt in class. learned a lot of new vocabulary with lao shi today and the class was very relaxed and conversation. lao shi explained her old job and shared her experience with traditional taiwanese families and weddings. i learned a lot of occupations, and also name of different kinds of trucks xD
